・ISMNM2016
The 4th International Symposium on Micro/Nano Mechanical Machining and Manufacturing (ISMNM2016) will be held in Lake Tazawa, Akita, Japan on April 25 – 28, 2016. Since 2010, JSPE and several Chinese key universities such as BIT, XJTU, NUAA have come together to stage an event centered on the related technologies, bringing together both academic researchers and industrial practitioners around the world for the exchange of the latest developments and applications in the areas of Micro/Nano Mechanical Machining and Manufacturing, abrasive and advanced machining technology. ISMNM has been held successfully every two years for three times and ISMNM 2016 at Lake Tazawa will promote the exchange of ideas, friendly relationships, and research collaborations.

Lake Tazawa
Lake Tazawa is a crater lake situated near the center of eastern region of Akita Prefecture. It is the deepest lake in Japan, whose depth is of 423.4 meters and shape is almost perfectly circle. The lake exudes a mysterious atmosphere, being filled with sapphire-blue water. The color changes from jade green to indigo blue, depending on the season and the depth of light that penetrates the water. It is a sure attraction for visitors at any time of the year. Hotels and rest houses are scattered around the lake. In summer, the area is popular for water sports such as sail-boating and jet-skiing. Many outdoor leisure spots like a ski area and camping sites are close by. Additionally, you can visit Nyuto Onsen Village at the foot of Mt. Nyuto-zan, deep in the Tazawako Plateau. The village proudly presents hot-spring inns and numerous secluded spots - a perfect place for relaxation in hot water or enjoy the peace and quietness in the nature. Kakunodate chery flower… The conference site, Plaza Hotel Sanrokuso located in the Tazawako Plateau, is a Japanese style hotel where the natural hot spring's water is directly provided by Nyuto-onsenkyo and especially enzyme cypress bath can be enjoyed.
