In Japan, the elderly population is 25% or more. There are many reports of the lonely death of an old man living alone. We propose an ITC-based life monitoring system for the elderly that utilizes robot technology and advanced information processing technology.
・Human detection sensor
・Electrical appliances sensor
・Bed sensor
・Pillow sensor
・Tag attached to the key
This system uses simple passive sensors such as piezo elements and accelerometers. By installing sensors on furniture and home appliances that are used all the time, it is a system that passively watches over the elderly living alone so as not to burden their daily lives. The simple robot “Mamoru-Kun” analyzes the signals obtained from various sensors. It autonomously determines whether the elderly are at home or out.
The key tag sensor determines if the target is at home or out.
