The meaning of my name: Kazuhiko Hoshizaki.

Sirname : Hoshizaki, Given name : Kazuhiko, Nickname : Hoshi

My sirname, Hoshizaki, is probably very rare in both Japan and China.
The names for most Japanese are written in chinese chracters.
In Japanese, the name for KAZUHIKO HOSHIZAKI is written out:

The name can be seperated into four parts, each of which corresponds to single chinese-character.  The first two characters (HOSHI & ZAKI) represent sirname, and the latter two (KAZU & HIKO) represent last name.

Meanings for each of the characters are:

"Hoshi"   (character_hoshi)   -->  star in the sky
"zaki" (also reads "saki")   (character_zaki)   -->  cape, peninsular
"Kazu"   (character_kazu)   -->  peaceful, soft personality  (Note that there are several meanings for "kazu" when assinged different chinese-characters sharing its reading)

"hiko" (character_hiko)   -->  This character tells us that the gender of this person is male.
